The tronX journey began almost a decade ago with a founding vision to build Smartron (www.smartron.com) as India's first global technology OEM and IoT brand. Powered by the tronX platform, which was announced in August 2017 as an AI operating system, Smartron launched a wide range of devices — smartphones (tphone), laptops (tbook), wearables (tband), smart home (thome, thub, tthings), mobility (tbike), battery packs (trex) and various other IoT solutions for smart classrooms and smart cities — with everything designed and engineered in India, for India and the world. During and post Covid, a series of unfortunate events derailed our plans.

But the current geopolitical dynamics, a growing domestic manufacturing ecosystem, and AI have created much more favorable market conditions. Stay tuned! 2.0 is under works to continue the journey of building India's own homegrown global tech brand.
